First of all, I used 123D catch app for my iphone to capture the badminton shuttle. I took more than 40 photographys from 360 degree . It is better keep lighting on the top to have the best result, it easy to capture the detail of the shuttle. Only took 5 mins to take photos, but it took 1 hour to finalize the model, be patient for waiting.

Secondly, import the obj file into meshmixer to refind the object. Which use the select tool to clear up the backgrond and leave the nessary part. Smooth the model by using the sculpt tool. Then you can easy see the joining line of the shuttle and descide how much detail you would like to show. Final step, because the model is hollow, then use the edit tool to make solid for the model. After it you have finish the modification and export the file into the next software.
